Management
Deborah Kania, Direct Marketing
Deborah is a direct marketing professional and author who
specializes in catalog/mail order, e-commerce and Internet
marketing. Deborah has spent many millions of dollars and
15 years in the marketing trenches helping companies like
Lens Express, Nortel Networks, Moore Corporation and Vitacost.com
achieve better results. Most recently, Deborah served as Vice
President of Marketing for Vitacost.com, an INC 500 hall-of-fame
member. While at Vitacost.com, Deborah reduced marketing expenses
almost 40% while increasing customer database 300% and revenue
from $11 million to $30 million per year, within a two-year
period. Deborah has written Internet marketing and ecommerce
books including:
Internet World Guide to One-To-One Web Marketing
(translated to Japanese, Korean and Chinese), Web Catalog
Cookbook, Branding.com,
as well as numerous online marketing articles for www.Clickz.com..
Deborah received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from University of
Massachusetts, and a Master of Business Administration from
Virginia Tech. Deborah also teaches direct marketing at Florida
Atlantic University (FAU).
Effie Zahariades, Marketing Technology
Effie is a technology and marketing management expert with
20 years of experience. She has specialized in Web technology,
Internet marketing and ecommerce since 1999. As the marketing
landscape has grown more complex and technical in nature,
Effie’s unique combination of marketing and sales experience
coupled with a strong technical background has helped her
drive profitable sales and marketing initiatives. She has
held the positions of Director for Consulting Services and
Business Development and Director of Information Systems.
Ms. Zahariades has consulted for companies such as AT&T,
IBM and MCI and has applied her skills to a number of industries
to include: Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Wireless Application
Development, ERP/CRM/Software, Application Service Providers,
Publishing, Media and Utilities. Effie Zahariades has a Bachelor
of Science Degree from the University of North Carolina and
has done graduate work in computer science at Columbia University.
Suzanne Lewittes, Brand Marketing Suzanne Lewittes
is a marketing professional with over 17 years of experience.
Suzanne started her career in advertising, working as an Account
Manager on large accounts such as Colgate and General Foods.
She then moved to the client side and spent 14 years at American
Express working in a variety of Marketing, Project Management
and Human Resource positions. While at American Express, Suzanne
was responsible for developing and implementing the worldwide
recruitment advertising campaign. She also worked with local
agencies to develop business specific campaigns. Suzanne has
significant experience leading teams of people, working with
external vendors, managing projects and rolling out new initiatives.
Most recently, Suzanne provided marketing consulting support
to PC Universe, an internet reseller, and Martin Design Center,
an interior design house. Suzanne has also spent time volunteering
with SCORE, an organization that provides free business counseling
to entrepreneurs and small business owners. Suzanne holds
an undergraduate business degree from the Wharton School of
Business as well as a degree in Economics from the University
of Pennsylvania’s College of Arts & Sciences. In
addition, Suzanne has an MBA from Columbia Business School
in Marketing and Finance.
Christine Seib, Ecommerce
Christine Seib has over 10 years of systems analysis and project management experience in ecommerce, content management and online marketing. She has worked and consulted for ecommerce and interactive companies including Burt’s Bees, BuildNet, McClatchy Interactive and SciQuest. While at Burt’s Bees, Christine’s SEO/SEM efforts resulted in a 500% increase in traffic and her shopping cart improvement efforts resulted in 100% increase in online sales in one month. Christine and has a history of successful management of mission-critical projects including website optimization, web operations, web analytics, search engine optimization, search engine marketing, content management, process improvement, and implementation of ecommerce and integrated systems. Christine is a member of the Project Management Institute and is finishing up her project management (PMP) certification. Christine received a Master of Arts from Iowa State University.
